Submissions for BreakOut West 2013 open MONDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2013
and will close MONDAY, APRIL 1, 2013 @ 11 PM C.S.T.
Last year over 50 of Western Canada’s finest performers and over 350 music industry leaders & delegates from all over the world made their way to Regina on September 27 for The 2012 BreakOut West Festival & Conference that ran prior to the Western Canadian Awards Gala. The Gala itself was once again hosted by Grant Lawrence of CBC Radio with very special performances from such winners and nominees as Dan Mangan, Said The Whale, Jason Plumb and The Northern Pikes. Artists that hit the stage during the festival included Library Voices, J.P. Hoe, David Gogo, Indio Saravanja, Sarah MacDougall and many, many more.
The 2012 BreakOut West Conference hosted sessions covering social marketing, touring, festival and funding, to name just a few. Representatives from worldwide festivals, publishing companies, record labels, funding agencies, music supervisors, booking agents, publicity companies, songwriters, producers and more were all speaking while the daily One-on-One Mentoring Sessions and networking mixers were more popular than ever.
