Warming is a music project formed in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It is the moniker of Métis multi-instrumentalist and synthpop artist Brady Allard.
Warming began in 2014 with the release of Allard’s self-titled EP Days Leave. After a breakup, a drastic life change caused Allard to leave his job and house. While living out of a minivan, he wrote and recorded the first full-length, self-titled album Warming. A lush, driving mix of pop, twisted synth noises and haunting arrangements.Recorded over three days at Collector Studios in Winnipeg, Canada. Borrowing an army of old synthesizers from friends; Allard transformed a collection of song sketches into a debut synth-pop masterstroke.
Described as “...a gothy MGMT, a funkier Deerhunter, bubbling synths and soaring laser guitar lines alongside a Kurt Vile-ish/War on Drugs-like Americana groove..” -Stylus Magazine. Following the release in 2019 Warming has toured Canada, The UK, Europe and Asia in support of the debut album. In 2020 Warming spent the pandemic writing enough music to fill a record store shelf, and is in the process of producing the next full length album.
