Most recently nominated as Francophone Artist of the year (2026) at the Western Canadian Music Awards, she was a semi-finalist at the Granby International Song Festival (2025) and was also nominated for a Trille Or award (2023). 1. What is the coolest show you have ever played?

One of my latest shows playing in Vancouver during the FIFA World Cup in June! CBC was hosting live music at their HomePitch Activation site and their welcome was so lovely and thoughtful. My fav part was playing outdoors (even with the shitty weather..) and meeting really cool musicians to play with! These connections are such a highlight for me. It was my 2nd time ever playing in Van!

2. How do you keep yourself healthy and happy working in music?

Really working to lower my stress levels and not be anxious- it takes a lot of effort to build a music career and I’m not doing this for money – so we must at least have fun!! And honestly my best performances and creative moments are always when I’m having a good time anyways.

A few concrete things –

Insta scrolling management upon specific feeling – I really try to immediately stop insta scrolling if i start feeling bad/like i’m falling behind. When i feel it creeping in, it means I’ve scrolled too much and I’m no longer in the right mindset to best support my friends anyways, so a break is needed.

Yoga – I love this because it’s movement minus the stress – yoga is all about working your body without activating your fight or flight response.

No caffeine – lots of decaf tho because I love the taste haha!

CBD oil – case by case basis, this takes my nervous system right down if i’m really buzzing.

3. What is the biggest challenge you’ve experienced in getting to where you are?

It’s surprisingly difficult to “sound like yourself” – It takes a few tries, multiple releases, different collaborations. I’ve released 2 EPs and some singles and only now do I feel like I’m getting closer to what, Élodie Orsei sounds like in my imagination! There is just so many moving part to creation and we are literally making something from our minds – that transfer to a “physical” thing is wild and yeah, takes practice.

Also just building a community – people are busy and have their own projects, i work with many different musicians because they aren’t always available (which is totally reasonable). Sometimes it feels hard to advance and grow from a base that isn’t stable, is constantly changing and moving.

4. What is the best part of your life that isn’t music-related?

Watching sunsets is probably my favourite thing to do – since non of us have any attention span left – sunsets are actually so good – they are high dopamine, and happen relatively fast lol! I also love the good “coffee and market walk” combo with friends. And spending time with my dog.

5. What is the best advice you have been given in the music business?

At the end of the day – they are so many different ways to do everything, and so many formulas to “success”, everyone has a different opinion on what works and what doesn’t. So just do what works for you, keep going, and if something doesn’t resonate say bye! Also, community is so important. But hey, I have 80 monthly listeners on Spotify, so what do i know haha!
