Belle Plaine is a singer, songwriter, producer and director from the heart of the Prairies, hailing from a homestead farm in the Aspen Parkland region of Saskatchewan on Treaty 6 territory. Her music is a synergy of Country, Folk and Indie. Her classically trained voice delivers story songs from an inherently feminine perspective.
Belle has toured internationally – from concert halls and music festivals, to house shows and honky-tonks. She co-founded and incorporated Western Seer Records with her husband, Blake Berglund in February 2025. In December of 2024 she performed her fifth concert with the Regina Symphony Orchestra. She’s a featured performer on “Caroline” from Colter Wall’s debut, Imaginary Appalachia. Her album, Malice, Mercy, Grief + Wrath, was JUNO nominated and won the 2018 Saskatchewan Music Award for Album of the Year. Her next effort, The Weather [2026], is produced by Paul Rigby [Neko Case, Garth Hudson].
