Émilie Landry is a bilingual singer-songwriter from Campbellton, New Brunswick, whose music blends contemporary Folk, Country, and alternative Pop with sincerity and authenticity. Inspired by artists such as Sarah McLachlan, Taylor Swift, and Joni Mitchell, her artistic approach emphasizes storytelling and emotion, steering away from the mainstream new country sound. Her songs explore both personal and universal experiences, including womanhood in the transition into one’s thirties, self-reflection, relationships, and family cycles, while remaining deeply rooted in French-Canadian culture.
Since the release of her debut EP Être social (2017), produced by French artist Daran, Émilie has steadily established herself on both the Canadian and international music scenes. Her albums Arroser les fleurs (2020) and Enfiler mes bottes (2022) confirmed her artistic maturity through intimate songwriting, subtle arrangements, and raw emotion. The music video Bouillir d’la misère received recognition as Best Lockdown Music Video at the Canadian Independent Music Video Awards, while Shanel won Music New Brunswick’s Video of the Year award. She has performed on more than 150 stages across Canada, Europe, and Louisiana, appearing at showcases and festivals such as the East Coast Music Awards, Canadian Folk Music Awards, Folk Alliance International, and Francofête en Acadie. Her career has also included several songwriting and artistic development residencies, notably the Judy Stakee Songwriting Retreats in Nashville and SOCAN songwriting circles, strengthening both her craft and international artistic vision. Created in her home studio alongside her longtime musical collaborator, the project explores the transition into one’s thirties, self-discovery, and new aspirations, while remaining firmly rooted in contemporary Folk, Country, and alternative Pop influences.
