Fiyin Obayan is a Saskatchewan-based singer-songwriter whose music blends jazz, soul, gospel, and R&B influences into a sound that is both heartfelt and uplifting.
Born in Nigeria, having lived in Australia and England before growing up in Saskatchewan, Canada, Fiyin brings a multicultural perspective to her music. These experiences have shaped her appreciation for diverse musical traditions and continue to influence her songwriting, which explores themes of faith, hope, resilience, and human connection.
Inspired by artists who combine rich storytelling with expressive musicianship, Fiyin creates music that is both emotionally honest and uplifting.
Her music has received radio play across Canada and internationally, including CHVN Radio, Radio Cité, EJazz Radio, Anointed Radio, and stations throughout North and South America. Her 2024 single, “Walking by Faith,” introduced her music to new audiences and further established her as an emerging artist with international reach.
Known for her engaging live performances, Fiyin has performed at the SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival and was selected to showcase at the New Skool Rules Conference and Festival in Rotterdam, Netherlands. She has also been invited to showcase at BreakOut West 2026 in Victoria, British Columbia, continuing to expand her presence within Canada’s and the international music industry.
Her current discography includes five original releases available on streaming platforms, with new music in development. As a member of SOCAN and an active participant in Saskatchewan’s music community, Fiyin is committed to building a sustainable career through songwriting, live performance, and meaningful collaborations.
