Everton Lewis - Wrackett Music Supervision
Everton Lewis, Jr. is an industry veteran who has an ear to the ground for emerging music. Over the past ten years, he’s forged his way as a thought leader and leverages an extensive network as he runs his own company, Wracket Music Supervision. Everton brings a potent combination of creativity and charisma to make the most of budgets big or small. Recent projects include CBC's Anyone's Game, CBC's Next Stop, YO! MTV Maps w/ Ralph McDaniels and Amazon Prime’s All or Nothing: Toronto Maple Leafs. He also supports the Apple US Creative Team as Brand Music Supervisor. Previous to launching Wracket Music Supervision, he was the Head Music Supervisor at VICE Canada where he spearheaded all aspects of music across verticals including Virtue, VICEtv & VICE Editorial.
Kennedy Calwell - 604 Records
Kennedy Calwell works for 604 Records as their NFT specialist. She helped launch the NFT Marketplace 604 INFINITE and was a big part in the creation of NFT BC, the hub of all NFT related events in Vancouver, BC.
Peter Carruthers - Arts & Crafts
Peter Carruthers is a Marketing/Label manager at Arts & Crafts, and oversees the digital marketing and digital strategy for the company. Peter grew up in Calgary and moved to Vancouver for college. While based in Vancouver Peter worked as a professional touring/recording musician working with acts such as: Dralms, Siskiyou, Belle Game, Said The Whale and many more.
In 2014, Peter began a pivot to the business side of the music industry and started his graduate studies. In 2016, he graduated with an MS in Media Management from The New School in New York City. Following graduation he relocated to Toronto and began working with Arts & Crafts in 2017. Since working with Arts & Crafts Peter has led domestic and international album campaigns for a variety of artists, and runs digital ad operations and strategy as well. He recently returned to Vancouver and is looking to grow Arts & Crafts' presence in Western Canada.
He specializes in digital marketing, release strategy and artist development.
Melissa Vincent - Polaris Music Prize
Melissa Vincent is a writer, editor, producer, and content strategist based in Toronto. Her work has appeared in all of the usual suspects: Pitchfork, Billboard, The Fader, NPR Music, The Globe and Mail, CBC, Elle, Flare, Canadian Business, and Vice. In the past, she's led content platforms operated by Blue Ant Media, Universal Music Canada, and Banger Films. She is a Prism Prize juror, a SOCAN Songwriting Prize Panelist, and a member of the Mayor's ArtworxTO External Advisory Committee. In 2019 she was selected to become the Polaris Prize jury foreperson and join their board of directors.
Eric Warner - We Are Busy Bodies
We Are Busy Bodies is a globally minded, Toronto-based record label founded in 2005 by Eric Warner. The label has issued over 120 releases, including seminal South African jazz discovery series, Canadian ambient and experimental music composers, early Danish electronic music and Thai phin music among its varied offerings. The label is known for its thoughtful presentation and research of its reissue projects and for its focus on championing the best in emerging and established talent. The label is run by Eric Warner, a Canadian entertainment professional that has spent time working with major record labels and as a long-time festival and events promoter. We Are Busy Bodies also manages a wide range of Canadian and international artists including Tumi Mogorosi (Shabaka Hutchings and the Ancestors), Wide Mouth Mason, Rich Aucoin, Limblifter, and Peace Flag Ensemble.
