Western Canadian Music Alliance and BreakOut West takes the health of its employees, partners and the music community very seriously. We are monitoring the rapidly-evolving COVID-19 situation and continue to make decisions based on the guidance of public health authorities. We are also monitoring COVID-19’s impact on the music community and extend our sympathy and support to those facing performance cancellations, and other challenges.

Until future notice the BreakOut West office, now located at 2-600 Clifton Street, will be closed with all staff and contractors working remotely. We are still available at 204-943-8485 or by individual staff emails (first name @breakoutwest dot ca).

We will continue to promote support initiatives by all levels of government and from our partners who are set up to support further through this crisis. Please watch the BreakOut West newsletter and social media channels for current initiatives.

At this time we project BreakOut West 2020 running as per scheduled, September 30 through October 4. This said, we cannot guarantee where this pandemic is taking us all and so we are monitoring the situation and have contingency and risk management plans in place to produce an event that will be of value and support to artists and industry and above all safe for everyone involved. We will update on any changes or new opportunities on our site here and in our social and newsletter communications.
