What is success for your organization in the coming year?

The Broadway Theatre is successful when we present a diverse range of high quality arts & culture events to the community in Saskatoon. We love to build community through shared experiences, and this comes in the form of world-class music, film, comedy, dance and theatre performances throughout the year. We love to partner with other organizations as much as possible, so that we can continue to be a space for many different community groups, and ensure that the events presented on our stage are a true reflection of the community in which we live.

What are you currently excited about in the music industry?

  • Young, new artists from Saskatchewan who are pushing boundaries in genre.
  • Music venues as safer spaces becoming more common
  • New ideas and pathway building towards a more sustainable future for the industry as a whole

What is the greatest challenge you face currently, and how can other industry and artists partners help?

The wake of the pandemic has left the music industry in a more precarious position than ever. A consistent challenge the industry faces is the restoration of balance between rising production costs and affordable ticket prices while also being in great need of, and advocating for, more funding to live events arts presenting non profits in Saskatchewan.
